Continuing from my previous Malaysia’s Own Oktoberfest 2012 post.. here’s what happened on the 2nd day of the big beer event presented by Carlsberg. But first a brief intro about Okotoberfest.
Oktoberfest, or Wiesn, is a 16–18 day beer festival held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, running from late September to the first weekend in October. It is one of the most famous events in Germany and is the world’s largest fair, with more than 5 million people attending every year. The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810.
Crown Prince Ludwig, later to become King Ludwig I, was married to Princess Therese of Bavaria on October 12,1810. The citizens of Munich were invited to attend the festivities held on the fields in front of the city gates to celebrate the happy royal event. The fields have been named Theresienwiese (“Theresa’s meadow”) in honor of the Crown Princess ever since, although the locals have since abbreviated the name simply to the “Wies’n”.
And now on to the party. This time the 2nd night of Malaysia’s Own Oktoberfest 2012 was held at the Ballroom of Berjaya Times Square Hotel. Before entering the entrance.. i was greeted with a beer that was the same height as me.. maybe slightly taller.
I would probably faint if i drink this much beer.. hmm i wonder what a beer bath would do for the skin?
It was my first time at the hotel and I was blown away by how much fun people were having at the event!
One of the things i had to enjoy taking in for the night (other than the beer of course) was munching on these cute pretzels!!! I love these and am a huge sucker for pretzels!! The best part was that it didn’t feel oily to the touch…
which i’m very particular on.

i just adore this Oktoberfest hat, too bad i didn’t manage to get one on the first day But at least i managed to eat the yummy pretzel!! i’m a real sucker for pretzels on cheat days.
The lovely girls for the night dressed up in the traditional Oktoberfest outfits dirndlts. I find how the skirts poof out so adorable.
Another shot with me and girls.
The night also had a cookie sale. Yes that huge brown heart hanging from her neck is a cookie. They were each going for RM5. Sounds reasonable to me and if i’m not mistaken it was also for charity.
Among the crazy entertainment of the night.. games like arm wrestling. These ladies really made me feel like i was in Germany and not Malaysia. Look at their corset outfits and the braided hair! Nice touch.
Together with the Carlsberg team and the MHB girls.
This is how any party should end.. with people dancing and posing on tables.. and of course York had to the Psy pose… at least i think that’s what he’s aiming for, along with Naomi. Lol! All in good fun people.
