 I love heading for events, because it’s a time for me to meet friends, chill back with a drink or two,play dress up and who knows maybe meet up with more cool people. But there is just one thing that annoys me.. getting READY for the event. There’s a lot of things to consider when you head off for an event, like the following:

  • get there on time
  • get yourself rsvp for the event
  • get the hair and makeup done up.
  • get the right shoes, right clutch, right accessories
  • and finally GET THE RIGHT DRESS!!!

You can kinda cheat with the hair, makeup and shoes.. but the dress you can’t. You want to be seen in a different dress from the previous event. You want to be individualistic and not to be caught wearing the same dress as the next girl (i know this is ridiculous). You want to be elegant, and not too trashy. Yeah.. lost of things to consider, ok!

Which is why whenever i head out for an event. I always put my trust in Rarablack. One of my favourite Online Fashion Boutiques! They have a wide range of clothing. Flyaway to Yeosu Expo – Odongdo Island

I mentioned in this post that you could win a trip with me to Korea for the Yeosu Expo 2012. Well let’s begin the contest :)

One of the tourist attractions of Yeosu happens to be Odongdo Island. The Odongdo Island of Yeosu is a must to visit. According to the legend, a phoenix used to frequent Odong-do Island, which in the past was covered by a lush forest of paulownia (odong) trees.

 Famous for the flower camelias and blessed with beautiful scenery.

The view from Odongdo shows the site of Yeosu Expo in one view which is another reason for its popularity.

You just need to cross a bridge to get to the island. Perfect for a romantic walk. The trail is located between rich trees and allowing an ocean view. Odongdo is also known among couples as the island of love.

The Yeosu Expo will provide an opportunity to enhance the international community’s perception of the function and value of the ocean and coast, share knowledge on the proper use of the ocean and coast and recognize the need for cooperation in the marine sector. It will also serve as a venue to learn about the achievements of and future models for the marine sector and offer a valuable chance to promote state-of-the-art marine science and technology and marine industries.

Flyaway to Yeosu Expo with Me!

I have never been to Korea before. The thought of making the trip to the wonderful land famous for their kimchi and  the mother ship of Samsung has crossed my mind a couple of times. But it’s either I never had enough holiday funds.. or I just plain well didn’t have the time.

But just two days ago, I got the word that I will be flying off too… oooh guess guess.. ok stop guessing. KOREA!!!! Yay.. it’s a mixture of holiday and working pleasure.. I LOVE my job at RedFM! ^_^

This is in conjunction with the Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea happening between May 12 to August 12 2012. So I’m getting an all expense paid trip to see the wonderful sites, cultures of Yeosu thanks to Korea Travel Organisation (KTO) – you are entitled to be jealous cause I know I would be too! But here’s the awesome part..

A while back Peter Schmeichel was in town to meet the fans of KL all thanks to Carlsberg Corporation. That was a lovely surprise for Manchester United fans, Denmark fans and just football fans all over the place. He alongside the Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia, Soren Ravn, showcased the EUFA Euro 2012 Trophy in it’s full glory.

Seeing the trophy and Peter Schmeichel was a treat, but the best part had to be when Soren said that Carlsberg Corporation would be sending 100 Malaysian Football fans to see the semi-finals of Euro 2012 at Ukraine!! The kick off will be on June 8th.. so here’s the question..

Monday Workout: Leg and Glutes Workout Focus

After 4 days of not working out i finally got down to the gym again. Trust me 4 days of complete torture. When I miss even a day of sweat, I feel the pangs of guilt and my muscles just crave for movement (even though i know it’s good to rest it at least for a day). So like i was saying it was 4 days of torture. But it was a good rest all the same.

Kick started the week with a detox program and a burning leg workout. here we go ^_^

 

Workout

Morning circuit work 20s rest 10s

Dynamic squats+side taps+mountainclimber
Lunge kick+mountainclimber+dynamic squats

Afternoon - Leg and Butt Workout (This was killer but a good pain)
Hack squat 15-15-20-25-30
Walking lunges 6lbs dumbbell 3 sets..I really miss doing this exercise.. it’s been such a long time i touched weights and walking lunges. Love it!
Glutes 20kg 15 x 3
Adduction 22.7kg 15×3
Abduction 22.7kg 15×3
Fitball glute hamstring bridge 20×3

Abs
Crunchs plus obliques 200
Hanging leg raises 20×3

Food intake

Morning: Oats with one red apple.

A detox drink , Grape and vinegar with apple guava bits at Tea Chansii Malaysia :-)

Dinner was veggies and fruit.. no meat sigh.. But wow it really cleansed the system

Happy Mother’s Day 2012

The time of the year, where everyone takes time to celebrate the lady who means the most in our lives.. our Mother. Some would say this is the day that you should remember your mother and treat her like a queen. In my opinion, we should treat her like a Queen everyday. This is a good time to reflect though, bout how this amazing person has done so much for us.

For my mom, she truly is one person who has never left my side. She’s always been the person i could turn too.. and no matter how many times i’ve done her wrong or been naughty.. she still loves me regardless. This song by the Spice Girls may be old but the words are timeless

My Mother’s Day PSA

Hey it’s Linora from the red hub. and my mom is like wonder woman.. This is a typical scenario at home.
In the morning  (comedy music)

Me: Mom there’s an ink stain on my dress…can you clean it for me..
Mom: ok leave it in my room
Dad: Honey can you pick up the kids after school im running late for a meeting
Mom: ok honey
Son: Mommm can you make me maggii meee I’m hungry
Mom: ok sweetie…

Finally at night…. (peace and quiet..)
Mom: Ahh.. relax time I can now watch my tv shows..
Voice: Mom, Honey…
It’s tough being a mom and a wife..  So for this mother’s Day, treat her like the queen she is. Ask her what she wants and needs for a change. Happy Mother’s Day

That’s true, it is hard being a mom. My mom has had to endure 9 months times 3 of carrying heavy kids. She’s had to endure being the best wife possible and also the best boss possible at work.. which is Acmamall.com. I adore my mom, even at this wonderful age, she’s still cool, funky, kind, loving..

She’s my Wonder Woman. My Super Woman. She is my Mama. Love you Mama. Happy Mother’s Day 2012!
