7 Things Guys Don’t Have To Do 205

I’m a fan of Miley Cyrus and I do enjoy her cutesy wutesy song ‘7 things’. While browsing on Youtube today I found this parody of the song uploaded, directed, edited and sung by this Youtuber called Venetian Princess. Her real name is Jodie Rivera.

Most of her videos are parodies of a number of music videos. She does have a couple of her own songs and music videos though.  She’s terribly pretty (that’s a good thing not a bad thing :P) and her lyrics have some great humour to it. 

This song is just cute. Not poignant or anything just cute. Since it talks about the 7 things –  or rather more than 7 things – that guys don’t have to do, but girls do them. All because we wanna look good for the men. lol. Typical.

What I also love about this youtuber is that she gives credit where it needs to go. For all the people that helped her make the video. and of course after parodying a video, she will encourage viewers to go to the real artists website/page whatever.

WordPress 2.7 207

Upgrade.. yet again. While I don’t like it when I have to upgrade my wordpress. I must say that I quite like the new interface of WordPress 2.7. This is already the second time that wordpress has upgaded it’s layout this year and waddya know just before Christmas. WordPress present for wordpress bloggers. hehe. 

It may take a while, to get used to it but so far I love the new layout. This is what it looks like on my dummy wordpress admin dashboard.

Let’s take a look at the latest dashboard. Firstly, everything is now ajaxified. You can drag and minimize the topics most important for you. Under screen options you get to pick what you want to see on your dashboard. The latest addition to the dashboard is ‘quickpress’, allowing you to write an instant post without having to go to the write post page. Nice but instead of having the tags section, I would’ve preferred for it to be the category section. 

I used to love the plugin Ozh’ Admin Drop Down Menu because the old interface didn’t have the drop down option. They’ve now gotten rid of the top selection menu and put it all as an ajax sidebar on the left. Not bad. Btw if you are having troubel seeing the dashboard menu, it’s due to the Ozh pluging still activated. Deactivate it and all will be fine again. While we are on the topic of plugins, fantastic to know you can now search and instantly install a plugin into your wordpress rather than going through the ftp way. Can ya see the install button… ooh goosebumps on how instant it can be. I’m such a geek!

Another thing that is a great feature is that this wil probably be the last time we have to do our own means of upgrading wordpress. Now there is an option on the menu under settings that will allow you to an instant upgrade.

The last thing which i find superbly cool. Is that when you click on the post page. You will all your drats and published post on one page. Great and even better, you can do quick editing on the main post page, instead of having to open up the actual editing page. Before I had the plugin Admin Management Xtended. Don’t need that anymore, since it’s now integrated with the new wordpress 2.7. Woots! Goosebumps again!

Should you upgrade your wordpress? Well no harm in doing so but even I’m not upgrading my aronil.com site yet. Just cause i want to test it out a bit more first. Get familiarised with the new features. Maybe I’ll upgrade when my site is due for payment or something. Overall the new interface is pretty rocking!

Anger Management Workout 3

Question. Should you or should you not work out when you are feeling a bit peeved? 

I did ask this of my friend who’s entire lifestyle is purely about working out. He thinks it’s the best time to, and I felt otherwise. I figured it won’t be such a good thing to workout when you are angry. My rational is that when you’re mad, you don’t really think straight and that goes the same for when you are working out, carrying weights or whatever. I’d think that you’d just wanna carry something and then really just throw it around. 

Well.. I proved my thought wrong. Cause today I was just all steamed up. I usually allow my tempers too cool off after a while. But this one kept on pursuing my head for reasons I shall not reveal. My first thought when I felt the blood rising to my brain causing it to go into anger mode, was to just run. Run run run run. 

And that’s what I did. Suited up immediately in trackbottom and my fav sweat top -then I just hit the threadmill. It helped too that I had blasted on some of my workout tunes that just fueled me even more to sweat all that annoyance out. So I walked fast, jog and then sprinted for a good 25 minutes.. i think. I had pause in between. 

That didn’t soothe me either. Grabbed my car keys, water tumbler and drove to the gym at raintree. Hit the eliptical machine and stayed for a good 32 minutes, completing exactly 400 calories. Still not enough. Did weights – chest press, dumbbell flies, and some abs. I was pretty beat by now. Bought a can of vege oranged juice to plant back some sugar into the body.

Came home… still mad. So I ran for another 5 minutes. That really took it out of me then. 

Conclusion: Workout cause it’ll take your mind of things. However do a reality check. I still kept pushing even though my body was tired. I think that was on pure adrenaline there. Now I’m super tired as I’m typing this, but I felt like writing this down. Just to either remind me how dumb it was to just workout for a good portion of the day. Or to just prove that it’s great for a cool off.
